Think about using your passions, interests and hobbies as a way to make money on the Internet.  Starting a business should be part bottom line as well as part enjoyment, and there is no better way to enjoy your business than by using it to promote your interests.  If you love sports, do something related to games, equipment, ticket sales or clothing.  If you love travel, consider promoting various destinations and working with travel services to create vacation packages or set up websites and blogs that can be used for affiliate marketing.  If you enjoy reading, sell and promote books.

The point is that no matter what you enjoy doing in life- the things that interest you and retain your attention can be marketed and sold online.  Sure you can open a store, do freelance work or even work from home selling things on eBay, but the true value of making money online is promoting and monetizing the things that you love already.  Sell model kits, become an affiliate for boats or recreational vehicles or make a fishing website that includes a line of products as well as how-to-guides or reviews of great fishing spots.  Think creatively and think outside of the box.  You can literally create something out of nothing on the Internet and find a way to make money.
